AFP-INFOPLUM, powered by On Demand Agility, wins Outstanding New Product Award at Asian Digital Media Conference 2014 in Singapore
The Football Data Cube, a responsive HTML application covering soccer competitions including the Football World Cup’14, won a Gold Award for the Outstanding New Product Category of the year at the Asian Digital Media Awards 2014 organized by WAN-IFRA in Singapore on November 18, 2014.
This award is the most prestigious recognition in Asia for outstanding work in the field of News website, online video, data visualization, multimedia campaign, mobile services, tablet publishing, reader engagement and outstanding new product.
AFP, the global press agency, along with Infoplum, a leading Australian company providing multimedia solutions for sports, and On Demand Agility (information technology partner of Infoplum) collaborated to produce the application for Web, Mobile and Smart TV presenting live results, news, pictures, 3D goals and other.
This particular application and the XML data were embedded on 120+ websites worldwide and recorded 4.1 billion hits (Within few hours of the first match, the scoreboard sites had generated more than 25 million hits..!) while analytical analysis found there were 100 million page views, 10 million unique users and an average news site visit time of 12 minutes during the FIFA World Cup’2014 held between 12 June to 13 July 2014 making this a success story!
